As part of an ongoing outreach program, LYRICA has created original concerts for school groups and children with special needs. LYRICA also has sponsored a “young composers competition” and offers master classes with Lyrica Guest Artists to area music students. The LYRICA ensemble also tours local hospitals, nursing homes, and senior citizen facilities. This summer will mark the Ninth anniversary of LyricaFest, LCM’s two-week chamber music workshop for gifted young musicians.
